1. Renewal of Passports or Holders of Dual Citizenship Acquiring New Passports
Requirements
a) Cost of Passport Form $20.00
b) Processing Fee $80.00
c) The form must be submitted with 4 colour passport size photographs (full face), taken not more than three months from the date of application.
d) The old passport or copy of dual citizenship card or certificate.
Payment of fees should be made by money order or cashier's checks, made out to "The Embassy Of Ghana". Applicants can also pay by cash if they submit their applications in person.
A period of 2 weeks is required to process such an application. Same day passport processing is not allowed.
At the request of an applicant, an additional $50 shall be paid for an expedited or emergency service within 48 hours. Please note that this service is only applicable to renewal of passports and not missing cases.
2. Missing Passports
The loss of the passport must be reported to the local police.
Requirements
a) Cost of Passport form- $20.00
b) Processing Fee- $160.00
c) The form must be submitted with 4 colour passport size photographs (full face).
d) Original Police Report indicating loss of passport.
e) Birth Certificate (both original and photocopy).
f) Completed declaration forms one of which should be notarized. Click to download forms.
g) Photo ID (colour copy).
h) Processing Period could take up to a month from the date of receipt of application.
Other Requirements
Please return the completed application form along with a FEDEX pre-paid (over night), self addressed trackable envelope, for the return of issued passports.
