Government announces measures to manage budget deficit
The Vice President Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur says government is taking pragmatic measures to address the country's current economic challenges.
He said removal of subsidies on petroleum and utility tariffs are among the measures taken to correct the imbalances in the economy.
Addressing a forum organised by the Economist Intelligence Unit, dubbed the Ghana Summit in Accra, the Vice President said the citizens will soon start feeling the positive impact of these measures.
Mr Amissah Arthur also announced plans to improve Ghana's import cover from three to five months as well as managing issues of high budget deficit and increasing public sector wage bill.
