Mahama appoints new security advisor

President John Dramani  has appointed Baba Issifu Kamara, a Senior Adviser for Special Duties as the new National Security Advisor.

A statement signed by Minister of Communications, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah also announced the reassignment of William K. Aboah as an adviser responsible for the restructuring of the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) into a Commission.

He is expected to assume the Chairmanship of the NACOB when the Board is constituted.

President Mahama dissolved NACOB in 2014, following the arrest of Ruby Adu Gyamfi, alias Nayele Ametefe in the United Kingdom.
