In a goodwill message, Ambassador Smith asked the Church to pray for the country at this time that both government and people are preparing for elections in December.
He said as Ghanaians, the congregation should always put Ghana first in every activity they find themselves and be proud of the country’s achievements.
“Fort 25 years, Ghana has gone to the polls six (6) times and in all, it has been peaceful and administrative power changed from one political party to another”, Ambassador Smith said.
“The next elections, on December 7, 2016 is not going to be different, we should all contribute by ensuring that the elections this year is transparent, free, fair and peaceful”, he said, adding “this is why Ghana has been branded ‘a model of Democracy’ on the African continent”.
