Chinese company donates funds for teachers’ quarters


Mr. Xie Dahu, the Country Director of China International Water and Electricity Corporation, has donated GH¢20,000 for the construction of a two-unit semi-detached teachers’ quarters at Saviefe-Gbogame in the Ho West District of the Volta Region.

 

He has also reaffirmed his company’s commitment to the growth and development of the rural communities by providing basic amenities such as infrastructure, electricity and water to improve their living conditions.

 Mr. Xie made this know during the donation in Accra, at the Company’s headquarters saying the gesture forms part of the company’s corporate social responsibility and also the construction of an accommodation facility for the teachers is one of the company’s priority areas.

 He also expressed gratitude to government for making the nation stable and attractive for companies such as China Water to invest.

 Torgbui Deh II, Chief of Saviefe Gbogame, who received the cheque, expressed appreciation to China Water for the gesture and noted that the amount will help in the construction of a decent accommodation facility for the teachers in the area.
