Gov`t constructs more classroom blocks
Mrs. Ama Benyiwa-Doe, the Central Regional Minister, says government has constructed two six-unit classroom blocks at the cost of Gh¢520,000 for the Jukwa and Aburaman Senior High Schools in the Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira and Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese districts respectively, in the Central Region.
According to her, this brings to eight, the number of such classroom blocks constructed by the government to address the problem of space created by the four year duration of the Senior High School system. Mrs. Benyiwa-Doe, said during handing over ceremonies at Jukwa in the Central Region, that the facilities forms part of the emergency 46 six-unit classroom blocks being constructed for public second cycle schools in the region. She appealed to the authorities to adopt a good maintenance culture, so as to prolong the life span of the facilities and also urged the students to take their studies seriously to justify the investment being made in their education.
