Four organizations benefit from Ghanaman fund
Ms. Lawrencia Adams Simpson, the Chairman of the Ghanaman Community Reinvestment Trust Fund has presented GH¢69,430 to four organizations to undertake various poverty alleviation programmes, to improve the livelihoods of people living in their areas of operation.
According to her, the trust established in 2009, was focused on areas such as health, education, as well as income-generating activities.
Ms. Simpson said this at the presentation ceremony, noting that the trust, which was supported by the United States African Development Foundation (USADF), was committed to helping improve the lives of others.
She explained that the overall strategic objectives was to promote sustainable community poverty reduction and economic growth, adding “the purpose is to support local, social and economic development activities owned by the community or a recognized community organization and which benefits the whole community”
Ms. Simpson therefore urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the funds, since they are the first to benefit.
