Finland Lauds Ghana’s Economic Growth


Mr. Esko Hamilo, Under-Secretary of State for External Economic Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, says Ghana’s economic growth and political advancement has attracted a Finish delegation to Ghana to explore business opportunities for the mutual benefit of the two countries.

He cited peace, political stability and excellent human relations which also influenced their choice of Ghana as a business partner.

Mr. Hamilo made this in Accra when he led a 30-member trade delegation to Ghana and added that Ghana’s significant growth in the economic development, peace, political stability and excellent human relations”

According to him, the quickly and varied background delegation demonstrates his country’s interest in investing in the Ghanaian economy and gave the assurance that it will be sustained to further boost relation between the two countries.

Ms. Hannah Tetteh, Minister of Trade and Industry, reiterated Ghana’s commitment and determination to position her as an investment destination in Africa.

“This situation has reflected in the stable growth in the nation’s Gross Domestic Product through prudent economic management to enable the delegation to tap the business ingenuity of their Ghanaian counterparts while in the country”

She said, her ministry welcomes genuine investors who can use Ghana as an outpost to reach the rest of the world.

Ms. Tetteh urged public and private partners to initiate programmes and projects that are self-financing for the interest of the country.

She appealed to the Ghanaian business community to increase exports to Finland to promote effective trading between the two countries, adding that “it should not be limited to only imports but exports and exchange of human resource.
